Seasonal Appetites

This morning I created four new seasonally-inspired mixed media art pieces.  As my friend Kristen sat writing on her computer and my cats slept in their respective warm spots, I created art like a blizzard.  Perhaps these pieces will become greeting cards at a Cafe Press store near you!

About Courtney Putnam

I first came to healing work through art and writing. Creating collage art and poetry in particular allowed me to deeply understand the benefit of self-expression in the healing process. But, I also began to see the benefit of bodywork (manual work in the form of massage and energywork in the form of Reiki) as keys to unlocking the emotional stresses we hold in our bodies. I became a Reiki practitioner in 2002, received an MFA in Creative Writing in 2003, received my massage license in the spring of 2006, and became a Reiki Master in 2010. In my practice I bring together these three areas -- the body, the mind, and the spirit (or energy body) -- so others may experience profound and positive change in their lives.

    Hi Courtney!
I found you through Kathy’s Amusing Muses blog, and I’m so glad I did! I love your four mixed media pieces, and I really love everything your blog is all about!! I was espcially tickled by the “Let it Snow” piece (even though I am so NOT ready for the snow to find me here in northern Illinois!). But your snow scene looks so peaceful and pleasant that it reminded me of the beauty of those cold, white, winter days. I look forward to visiting your blog again to see your new creations and to read the words of wisdom you have to share with us 🙂

Hi, I came here thru your earlier blog. You mentioned about self expression towards healing. Could you let me know how to take out frustration and anger of your workplace and colleagues thru this?
