“I believe that creative dreams are our most powerful energy source.” ~SARK
“To live a creative life, we must lose our fear of being wrong.” ~Joseph Chilton Pearce
I created this art journal to the left this evening when contemplating the many people in my orbit who are actualizing their dreams — who are taking chances on hatching ideas, trying on wings, and even stepping off that safe edge to find themselves supported by the soft, yet uncertain air beneath them.
I have many friends who are entrepreneurial rock stars who are taking their creative ideas and flying with them. Daily, I am inspired by people who are taking risks, putting their hearts fully into their work, and stepping into the unknown world called possibility.
For instance, Sadee Whip has inspired me lately. She is the founder and CEO of SuperNatural Energy Balls and is both a wise goddess of health and wellness, but also of living a soulful and authentic life. Oh how I love interconnected and integrative practices! She even has a free e-book that you can download and read for free!
And then there’s my friend Corbin Lewars, author of Creating a Life, who inspires me with her work as a writing coach and mentor of life. Terri Haaga has just launched her business Flowing from Within in which she takes clients on a journey with the powerful LifeLine technique. My dear friend Angela Robinson (we go way back to high school French class together!) is a writer and educator who also teaches meditation and mindfulness techniques to pre-K to sixth graders.
Oh I could keep on going! Just this evening while having my weekly writing group with Ms. Laughing Crow, I learned about some lovely sprouting wings about to hatch in her world.
What inspiration I am receiving from those around me who are willing to give birth to some creative ideas! What is fluttering about inside you that would like to see in the big, wide world? What are you ready to actualize — from a tiny movement to a large-scale change? I give you permission to hatch something, however small, this week. Maybe it’s a yoga class, maybe it’s a poem, maybe it’s a painting, maybe it’s a recipe or a living room re-design. Perhaps it’s a new business venture, a class you take or give, a change in jobs, a new friendship, or a move across the neighborhood or to an entirely new city. Whatever it is, feel your creative wings expanding as your mind and heart expand with them. Go forth and fly!
